Patient Care Laboratory I

An integration and application of the skills needed to fill the professional responsibilities of pharmacy practice as they relate to patient centered care and the patient care process, utilizing principles taught in the corequisite courses to provide the contextual framework for the skills considered.

Emergency Medicine

Emergency Medicine is an evolving and increasingly recognized practice area for clinical pharmacists. As interest and professional opportunities continue to expand in this therapeutic arena, it is imperative for students to become cognizant of the various aspects of this unique specialty.

Pediatric Pharmacotherapy

This course explores additional information relating to pediatric drug therapy and factors that build on the existing knowledge base of the student, to prepare students to address drug related problems in the pediatric patients and to demonstrate competency in evaluating patient drug therapy in at least two patients as well as numerous case scenarios. Since the class size is kept at about 15 students, a seminar and hands on approach to simulations will be done along with didactic teaching and group discussion.
