Introduction To Managed Care & Principles Of Medicaid

This is a distance learning course with online post class quizzes and a final project in addition to once-weekly course meetings. The managed care pharmacy elective course will provide an overview of managed care pharmacy and understanding how managed care pharmacy impacts the health care system. There will be a special emphasis on Medicaid and introducing relevant topics such as the 340B drug program, understanding federal and state rebates with drug pricing with a focus on Medicaid. Also, students will have the opportunity to explore pharmacy careers within managed care.

Leadership Legacy

This course provides health professions students with a series of interactive, cohort-based activities in retreat, workshop, and mentoring relationships to enhance interprofessional leadership skills and professionalism. Specifically, these activities are intended to enhance and inspire critical reflection about participants' self-awareness, communication skills, learning agility, and ability to influence and build teams- skills and abilities built upon a foundation of emotional intelligence.

Designed for advanced students who assist faculty members on research projects that are conducted in regular consultation with the faculty member. May be repeated to a maximum of 12 credits, in combination with other independent research credit hours. Pass-Fail only.

Neurologic Management I

This course presents an introduction to the medical and physical therapy management of individuals with neurological disorders. The focus will be on rehabilitation theory, with evidence-informed physical therapy examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, intervention and clinical decision-making for individuals with nervous system health conditions.

Res Apprenticeship In Rehab Sci

In-depth study of a discipline specific topic under the direction of a member of the graduate faculty. Emphasis on scientific method including development of a research question, methodology, data collection and analysis. Students will complete a supervised research project during the course. Variable credit hours repeatable to a maximum of 21 credit hours.
