Shanghai University Students Come to UK
Students from Shanghai University will get a taste of the bluegrass as the UK American Studies Program in the College of Arts and Sciences will host a summit for SU students on Monday, April 22.

The Second Annual UK-Shaghai University Student Summit: Roundtable Presentations and Discussions. Graduate students from both universities will be sharing their work and discussing the summit’s theme of US-China Relations. Interested students and faculty are welcome to attend.

UK Junior Josiah Hanna Named Goldwater Scholar
Josiah Hanna, of Lexington, Ky., has been awarded the Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship worth up to $7,500 per year. Hanna is one of 271 students nationwide awarded the Goldwater Scholarship this year.
Event to Explore Interdisciplinary Nature of the Humanities and Arts

New Mappings Speaker Series: Michael Goodchild
Michael Goodchild is Professor Emeritus of Geography at the University of California Santa Barbara. His research focuses around geographic information represented in computer systems, and how communities are involved in producing maps.
The New Mappings Collaboratory at the University of Kentucky is an effort to build partnerships around new spatial media education and research.
