Dissertation Residency Credit

Residency credit for dissertation research after the qualifying examination. Students may register for this course in the semester of the qualifying examination. A minimum of two semesters are required as well as continuous enrollment (Fall and Spring) until the dissertation is completed and defended.

Graduate Seminar In Exercise Science

Faculty, students and invited speakers will present and discuss current research in Exercise Science. Students enrolled for credit will be required to present a seminar on their own research. Students presenting a seminar will be provided feedback by faculty and seminar participants. May be repeated to a maximum of 2 times for credit, unlimited times for zero credit.

Living On The Right Side Of The Brain

Students in this course will gain an understanding and awareness of creative strategies that may be used in future problem solving. These strategies will help encourage creative thinking that will lead to more innovative and novel solutions. Students will practice a metacognitive approach by reflecting on their own thinking in an effort to enhance self-regulation and ultimately realize creative potential.

Legal Research And Writing Skills

Training in legal research, legal writing, legal reasoning and analysis, legal citation, and oral advocacy. In the legal research portion of the course, students receive training in how to approach basic research tasks and how to use a variety of print and electronic resources for performing research. In the legal writing portion of the course, problem-based writing assignments are used to train students in effective legal writing, legal reasoning and analysis, and legal citation, and to introduce students to oral advocacy.

Property

Basic course in property; possession, gifts, bona fide purchasers of personalty. Estates, uses, easements, and rights incident to ownership.
