Elective: Nephrology In Bowling Green
The clinical elective is a four-week rotation that allows students an opportunity to evaluate and follow patients with the entire spectrum of kidney diseases in both hospital (inpatient ward, intensive care units) and clinic settings (both general nephrology and dialysis clinics). Patients followed include those with acute and chronic kidney diseases, hypertension, mineral electrolyte abnormalities, acid-base disturbances, metabolic bone diseases, receiving dialysis or post renal transplantation.
