Research In Periodontics

This course involves direct student participation in a research project. Projects and thesis are approved by the course director and may be clinical, laboratory experimental or related to dental education. Projects may include original or ongoing research within the Department of Periodontics or other departments of the Medical Center. May be repeated to a maximum of twelve credits.

Periodontics III

This is a surgically oriented course which presents information necessary for the diagnosis, treatment planning and treatment of surgical cases. The information gained is applied to planning treatment for actual surgical cases. Lecture, 27 hours; laboratory, 3 hours.

Elementary Physiology Laboratory

This 1-credit hour human physiology laboratory course is designed for current and former students of PGY 206, Elementary Physiology. This course is designed to encourage concept development and integration via application and hypothesis testing. This human physiology laboratory course will take a virtual pragmatic learning approach utilizing healthcare simulation, experimental and clinical data sets, and computer modeling to conduct physiology experiments.
