Cold War Poster Exhibit Opens with Russian Tea, Русский чай
In celebration of University of Kentucky College of Arts and Sciences' year-long exploration into the culture and history of Russia, UK Libraries continues "Reimagining Russia's Realms" throughout the spring semester with an exhibit of Soviet Cold War-era military posters from the UK Libraries Scott Soviet Military Collection. The free public poster exhibit will open with a Russian Tea at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, in the Hub at William T. Young Library.
UK Pays Tribute to Great Teachers
The University of Kentucky Alumni Association presented its 2013 Great Teacher Awards to six recipients last night at a recognition dinner, followed by an appearance at Rupp Arena’s center court during halftime of the South Carolina vs. UK basketball game.

Please join the Department of Anthropology February 15th from 4:30-6:00PM for the 2013 Distinguished Lecture Series speaker Dr. Andrea Wylie.
Dr. Wylie is a biological and medical anthropologist whose research bridges across the disciplines of health, nutrition, biology, culture, and political economy. Her lecture, through a comparison of India and the United States, considers how milk, evolutionarily meant for infant consumption among mammals, has become a globalized food for all ages.
Reception directly following until 7:00 PM. This event is open to all.

Dr. Wuyang Hu from the Department of Agricultural Economics in the College of Agriculture presents, Food in China: Linking Research Projects with Study Abroad and Student Recruitment.
Dr. Hu is interested in Agricultural Marketing and Consumer Economics as well as Environmental and Resource Economics. He has been awarded numerous local, state, and federal government funded projects to support his program. He has published extensively in leading agricultural economics journals as well as in other forms of popular press. Dr. Hu is involved in the KY consumer market study and works closely with food producers and assists them gather market data.
