A survey of Jewish intellectual and material civilization from its beginnings in Ancient Israel to its efflorescence in the medieval period.
Variable in content, this course focuses on important texts and issues in Jewish history, religion, literature, and philosophy. May be repeated to a maximum of six credits under different subtitles.

Continuation of HMN 301. A multidisciplinary seminar directed to topics of major concern in humanistic studies and to include consideration of culture, literature, history and landscape.
An interdisciplinary seminar in the humanities which will focus on contemporary issues. Open to all University students, subject to such limits or prerequisites as set by the instructor. May be repeated to a maximum of six credits under different subtitles.
