College of Art & Sciences Annual Awards Ceremony

On June 2, 2015 A&S Staff Council hosts a ceremony to honor the Outstanding Staff Award recipients. Each year two members of the staff receive the Outstanding Staff Award. The 2015 winners were Raegan Wilson (Enrollment Management) and Lori Eckdahl (Kastle IBU). Their dedication to their respective departments and to the college is demonstrated each day in the exceptional work they do. Both ladies received glowing recommendations from their managers and colleagues. It is evident how much they are respected by their teams and the faculty and staff they work with on a daily basis.

Raegan received her award on June 2 at our annual awards ceremony. Due to a previous commitment, Lori was not able to attend the ceremony and will receive her award at the upcoming All Staff Retreat.

Also recognized at the ceremony are staff members reaching milestone years of service. This year 24 staff members, with years of service ranging from five to forty, received their awards.

This summer marks my 28th year in Lexington and I’m proud to call it home. I grew up on the east coast and spent most of my childhood on Long Island and then in New Jersey. It’s fun to get people to identify my accent. I’m proud of the fact that I naturally substitute “you all” for “you guys,” now!

I am an art historian by training and have worked in art museums for most of my professional life. I graduated from the College of Wooster in Ohio and then got my graduate degree in art history from UK. After six years with the UK Art Museum, I am very pleased to be a part of the College of Arts & Sciences. The transition across campus from Singletary Center to POT has been easy due in large part to the warm welcome I’ve received from everyone. I really enjoy meeting new people.
