Advanced Studies In Elementary Science

An advanced course for classroom teachers that focuses on implementation of instructional strategies and assessments for teaching elementary science. A review of contemporary research in teaching and learning science will be closely related to classroom instruction. Specific focus will be given to technology integration, assessment, and addressing the needs of diverse student populations.

Advanced Electives

This course is designed to allow the student to select an area of special interest for focus and investigation. The course work is designed to allow acquisition of knowledge and skill at an advanced level. Students will choose one specialty area out of a selection of elective topics for their in-depth study. Topics for advanced electives may vary each year based on student interest and faculty expertise.

Exp Higher Plant Bio

This course, offered jointly between the Department of Agronomy and the T.H.Morgan School of Biological Sciences, is intended to convey fundamental insights into how higher plants as experimental systems have provided a sound understanding of important areas of current biological and biochemical thought. A laboratory component is included to supplement the lecture materials. Lecture, three hours; lab, two hours per week.
