This course equips students with basic population data analysis skills and concepts that can be applied to decision-making in public health and healthcare settings. Students will examine approaches for measuring population health and analyzing determinants of health and wellbeing using primary and secondary data sources.
This course teaches the theories and practice of administration as they are applied in public health settings. It addresses knowledge and applications of the functions of public health management and their relationship to organizational effectiveness.
This course introduces the use of management accounting techniques for decision making in healthcare organizations. Lectures, problems and cases will be used to focus on various types of healthcare organizations.
This course is to be a practical introduction to public health at the national, state, and local levels. This course is intended for students in the Master of Health Administration, PhD in Gerontology, and PhD in Epidemiology & Biostatistics.
