The College of Arts & Sciences offers awards for international travel. These awards are for independent travel abroad to specified cities and sites, not for formal programs through Education Abroad. Some are available ONLY to International Studies Majors! Please complete the travel grant application and return it to 311 Patterson Office Tower by October 6, 2023.
International Studies Winter Break in London, Paris and Berlin – Apply by 5:00pm EST, October 6, 2023. Up to $1,700; travel between Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 semesters; undergraduate majors in International Studies only; sophomore, junior, or senior status at the time of travel (seniors must be returning for the Spring term); 3.0 GPA required, must visit specific cites in 2 of 3 city sites; minimum 10-day stay (excludes travel time from the U.S.). The Holocaust Summer Break – Apply by 5:00pm EST, March 15, 2024. Up to $2,500; travel during Summer 2024; undergraduate A&S majors only; junior or senior status at the time of travel (seniors must be returning for the Fall term); 3.0 GPA required; must visit all cities and sites in Europe; minimum 16-day stay (excludes travel time from the U.S.); must enroll in 395 Independent Study course on the Holocaust. NOTE: All summer travel grant recipients MUST be enrolled in EAP 599. This course charges one credit hour of tuition at the student’s normal rate (in-state or out-of-state). Grant funds cover partial travel expenses, tuition and fees for all travel grant options. Participation in a professionally organized tour which visits the required cities is NOT permitted. Team travel with other grant recipients is encouraged but not required.
