Thanks for visiting my profile.   I am a PhD candidate in the department of Physics at the University of Kentucky and expected to finish my PhD by Fall 2014.  My research is focussed on studying static and dynamic properties of periodic and aperiodic metamaterials.

Research Skills   

 • Nanofabrication: 6 years of extensive experience in electron Beam lithography (EBL), scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Devised a novel procedure, to write large arrays of antidots (non-magnetic region in magnetic media), with different shapes and sizes, in a short amount of time.
Thin Film Characterization: using SQUID magnetometer and ellipsometer
Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD): 6 years of experience in thin-film deposition, using DC/RF magnetron sputtering, and electron beam evaporator, of ferromagnetic (permalloy, nickel, cobalt etc.), superconducting (Niobium), and non- magnetic (silicon) thin films on semiconductor (silicon) substrate.
Magneto-Dynamics Measurement: using narrowband and broadband ferromagnetic resonance (FMR).
Simulation:  Performed micromagnetic simulations study of FMR spectra using OOMMF and RKMAG micromagnetic code in Linux environment. Performed microwave antenna and waveguide simulation in CST Studio and HFSS.
• Developed own micromagnetic code in MATLAB, to simulate FMR spectra.
 • Data Analysis: Plotting and preliminary data analysis using Mathematica, OriginLab, SigmaPlot, and Microsoft Office.
