Fabiola Fernandez-Doig
Lecturer

My passion for education and curiosity towards humanity have been the driving forces behind my academic journey. I completed two bachelor's degrees in Peru - one in Humanities at PUCP and the other in Education at UDEP. After graduating, I worked as an educator at various levels, including university, secondary, and primary education in Chiclayo and Piura, Peru. Later, I delved deeper into Latin American and Latinx literature during my studies at New Mexico State University, followed by working at different universities in the United States and Peru. I pursued my Ph.D. in sociolinguistics and anthropological linguistics from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. Currently, I am focused on finding new ways to educate better and support my students., I worked in education at different levels: university, secondary, and primary education in Chiclayo and Piura in Peru. After further exploring Latin American and Latinx literature at New Mexico State University, I worked at different universities in the United States and Peru. I did my PhD in sociolinguistics and anthropological linguistics at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. Now, I continue to explore ways to do better work with my students.
