Lauren Denton is a native of Chicago, Illinois and a thriving junior at the University of Kentucky majoring in English with a minor in Political Science. Last year, Lauren had the opportunity to intern at one of the top global law firms practicing rigorous accounting tasks. Lauren is involved with several campus organizations such as Black is Gold University and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Lauren is currently a Resident Advisor where she practices leadership, mentorship, and community service. She completed her freshman year with a 3.9 GPA and was offered a position with the University of Kentucky Congressional Internship Program, Wildcats at the Capitol. In this role, she would intern for US Representative James E. Clyburn. In her future career path, she plans to apply her leadership capabilities to collaborate with her peers and create a positive change beyond her college campus and into the world by pursuing a career in law or government relations.
