I was born and raised in Stearns, Kentucky where I graduated from McCreary County Central High School. I was an active Upward Bound member and clarinetist in the marching band.
I moved to Lexington, Kentucky after high school to attend UK and earned by Bachelors of Arts in Communication. While a student, I worked as a Peer Mentor for Student Support Services, a Resident Advisor, and barista at Starbucks!
I took a year off after my BA to figure out what I wanted to do, and moved to Louisville, Kentucky thereafter to earn my Masters of Education in Counseling & Personnel Services with a concentration in College Student Personnel (CSP). I worked with REACH (Resources for Academic Achievement), Exploratory and Transition Advising, and after graduating I served as an Academic Counselor with the College of Business.
When I'm not working, you can find me: watching the Columbus Blue Jackets hockey, listening to music (Paramore, The Wonder Years, The Avett Brothers), struggle running, petting other people's pets since I don't have my own, reading, watching TV (Parks and Rec, The Good Place, American Horror Story, My Hero Academia...etc), or playing Animal Crossing.
I'm very excited to work with you, so don't hesitate to reach out with any questions!
