Jamie Stoike
PhD Candidate
Graduate Instructor

My scholarly interests lie in the development of Midwestern Literature from the Gilded Age to the Roaring Twenties (ca. 1865-1929), a period when "the Midwest" developed as a place distinct from the Frontier, the West, or the North and produced an outpouring of distinctive literature. Within that field, my work focuses primarily around the interactions of Midwestern identity, class and status.
