Hello! I am originally from the Detroit area and moved to Kentucky in 2015. I served as a Master at Arms in the United States Navy from 2009-2012. After my military service, I decided to do something completely different and attend cosmetology school, so I am an alumnus of Paul Mitchell the School Michigan. In 2015, I came to Kentucky to visit some friends who I served with at Naval Support Activity Bahrain and fell in love with the Commonwealth, so I decided to move here!

I initially moved to Richmond, KY in 2015 and completed my BA in History at Eastern Kentucky University in 2017. I then went on to earn my MA in History with a focus on Cold War American politics in 2019 from EKU and an MA in History focused on U.S. Civil Rights from the University of Kentucky in 2022. While at UK, I worked in the classroom as a History TA. After graduation, I worked for the Eastern Kentucky University Graduate School prior to joining the Academic Advising team here in Arts and Sciences. 

In my free time I enjoy Detroit sports, particularly the Red Wings and Lions, as well as participating in fantasy football and hockey leagues. I also enjoy being outside and taking my dogs anywhere and everywhere dog friendly!
