Anna Chinn
Hello! My name is Anna Chinn, and I am a junior majoring in Neuroscience with a minor in Pharmacology! I was born and raised in Evansville, Indiana, and attended North High School. My hopes are to continue past my undergraduate years and attend medical school, where I will study to become a doctor.
Outside of class, I can be found all around campus! I am a member of Chi Omega, a Panhellenic sorority here on campus. I spend a lot of time with friends at the house and working as a coordinator for our philanthropy! We work very closely with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to raise money for Greek Sing, a large philanthropic event. I am also an Undergraduate Researcher in the Neurosurgery department, studying the regenerative characteristics of Schwann Cells to further understand how we can treat Parkinson’s Disease! One of my favorite things I have done while at UK has been being a part of our MEDLIFE chapter on campus! Last winter, I travelled to Riobamba, Ecuador, to serve in local communities in mobile clinics, and it fueled my passion for medicine. This year, I will travel to Cusco, Peru, with Medlife serving as the Vice President!
I chose the University of Kentucky because of the endless opportunities available here. As an out-of-state student, coming to the University of Kentucky has allowed me to grow both personally and professionally while stepping outside of my comfort zone.
If you have any questions about my experience or general questions, do not hesitate to reach out! Go Cats!
