Ishani Patel
Hi everyone! My name is Ishani Patel, and I have lived in Lexington for most of my life! I am currently a junior studying Neuroscience and Psychology on the pre-medical track! In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, running, and traveling.
On campus I am currently involved in Alpha Delta Pi, DanceBlue, Aperture, the Indian Student Association, and the Pre-medical Women’s Society. I am also an undergraduate research assistant at the Sanders-Brown Center on Aging at UK, where we investigate the role that the protein tau has on neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease. Additionally, I volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House and UK Albert B. Chandler Hospital as a Wayfinder!
I chose UK because of the endless opportunities for academic and personal growth as well as its welcoming and supportive community! Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions regarding classes, getting involved, or finding your place on campus. I’m always happy to help! Go Cats!
