Note:
This class will meet only once a week for lectures on Tue at 5pm. During the spring break, the students will undertake each day a trip to visit various power sites, including LGE&KU's advanced research facility with a 10MW PV plant and 1MW/2MWh battery, and state of the art transmission and distribution control centers. There will be no lectures after the spring break. The class size is limited and admission will be made based on applications submitted to the main course instructor, Dr. Dan M. Ionel (mailto:dan.ionel@uky.edu) or Danielle Green-Hinkle (dgreenhinkle@uky.edu) by November 18, 2022. A detailed investigation of a topic of current significance in electrical engineering such as biomedical instrumentation, digital filter design, active networks, advanced electrical devices, digital communications, display of electronics. May be repeated, but only three credits can be earned under the same title. Only nine credit hours may count toward degree requirements. A particular topic may be offered at most twice under the EE 599 number.
