Construction, operation, and modeling of hybrid (HEV) and electric vehicles (EV) and aircraft with particular emphasis on the electro- mechanic power traction and propulsion drive components and systems. Also introduces computer aided engineering (CAE) topics for electromechanical systems with applications to electric machines and power electronic drive controls. Prereq: Graduate or engineering standing and EE 221, EE 305, or equivalent.

A detailed study of a topics of current interest in electrical engineering. May be repeated to a maximum of six credits, but only three credits may be earned under the same subtitle. A particular topic may be offered at most twice under the EE 699 number.
