Note:
Graduate students (and postdocs) will use methods of design thinking to identify the many futures that individual values, goals, and interests can cultivate. From this discovery, students will chart potential career paths, considering what a future in that career will mean for their lives. This course will build upon the design process by engaging students in communicating their current expertise and skills beyond academia, informational interviewing, creating job application documents, and hearing from Ph.D. alumni who have fulfilling careers beyond the tenure track.
