Tonya and Jackie JonesTonya and Jackie Jones giggle like best friends over the remnants of a casual lunch. You almost feel like you're intruding in attempts to capture their attention. Mother and daughter never seem to tire of each other's company, especially considering they live together in the Jones family home in Lexington and both work part time at the Inn on Broadway downtown.

UK Physics & Astronomy, and the MacAdam Student Observatory, present Kentucky SkyTalk

This series of popular-level talks brings the wonder of scientific discovery to the central Kentucky Community. Some of UK’s leading researchers explain, in ways that are understandable to the general public, aspects of the world around us. Topics include how stars make energy, how we can measure what stars are made of, and how stars are formed. All talks are on the second Thursday of the month and are in the Chemistry-Physics Building. They are free and open to the public. Weather permitting, the talks will be followed by viewing at the University’s MacAdam Student Observatory.
