This course was created for undergraduate nursing students pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. This course is designed to enhance the nursing curriculum for students interested in practicing in the primary care setting. Students will study concepts related to the role of the registered nurse in primary care and apply them to their clinical practice experiences. This course will focus on quality, safety, patient and family engagement, tools and practice policies to improve safety and outcomes for patients in ambulatory care setting.
