Culinary medicine is a new evidence-based field that blends the art of food and cooking with the science of medicine. Culinary medicine is aimed at helping people reach good personal medical decisions about accessing and eating high-quality meals that help prevent and treat disease and restore well-being. The purpose of this course is to provide students with evidence-based, practical knowledge to better understand nutrition and how it relates to the health of patients through educational modules combined with instructional cooking videos. This course bridges biomedical and clinical scenarios with tested culinary strategies.
