The clinical elective in community hospice and palliative care is a four-week rotation that allows the student to obtain in-depth exposure to hospice and palliative care in a rural area with expert preceptor(s). The student will experience the day-to-day activities of this clinician in the inpatient and outpatient setting including home visits.
