Job Description
GenCanna currently has open positions for full-time Extraction Technicians at our global headquarters in Winchester, KY.
Extraction Technicians after having been trained by GenCanna shall:
  • Be able to operate equipment used in various stages of the extraction process.
  • Be able to diagnose and repair problems associated with equipment, processes and systems.
  • Be able to accurately document data and complete logs in accordance with established SOPs.
  • Be able to maintain aseptic and sanitary working conditions.
  • Be able to maintain production areas and equipment including regular cleaning and maintenance to comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to safely lift and move items up to 70 pounds. (occasional, non-repetitive)
  • Ability to stand and walk on hard surfaces for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to reach overhead, bend, squat, climb and kneel.
  • Ability to wear protective apparatuses and clothing, including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, respiratory protection and gloves.
  • Ability to work at an elevated height regularly (approx. 5 feet high).
Desired Qualifications
  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Be available for any shift including weekends and minor holidays. Overtime may be required.
  • Be mechanically inclined. Familiarization with high pressure systems a plus.
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Possess excellent time management skills.
  • Possess the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Possess a professional and reliable demeanor.
  • Possess a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Forklift experience is a plus. GenCanna will certify forklift operators.
Selected candidates must pass a background check in order to participate in the hemp pilot program.
