The College of Arts and Sciences is happy to provide opportunities for more immersive language studies right here on campus, by creating sharing spaces for students pursuing Education Abroad, studying in our English Language Program and Language departments, coming from other countries looking for community here, and studying international topics across disciplines.
You will be expected to report for 3x 50 minute meetings per week:
- Zoom Business Mtg.
- Report results from previous week + internationally-oriented events for upcoming week
- Collaborate on event preparations
- Group Mtg.
- Work with your group to complete targeted tasks
- Groups: Social Media, English Language Program, Language/Cultural Exchange
- Team Mtg.
- Practice public speaking + sharpen skills
- Share on topics including your major/minor/clubs, international experiences, event planning and outcomes, professional development topics
You will also be expected to perform rotations of duties throughout the semester for points (some flexibility to lean into your strengths as long as all tasks are completed by the team with equal workloads), including:
- Leading meetings
- Creating graphics for social media
- Managing the shared Outlook email AskSLIPAS@uky.edu
- Planning components of special events (activities, refreshments, music, decor, marketing, etc.)
- Tabling at events for Arts and Sciences International Initiatives

- Interviews will be held Thursday, December 11.
