The focus is on helping the primary pediatric practitioner assess and manage acute, chronic, developmental, and behavioral health problems of the child and adolescent in primary care. Emphasis is on identification of appropriate assessment and management of problems in collaboration with other health care providers and the use of the nurse practitioner as a resource for families.
