Nursing Leadership In Health Care Organizations

Students use theories of leadership, motivation, power, influence, organizational behavior, diversity, culture, and relationships to evaluate current practices and initiate future practices within clinical, educational, and research health care organizations. Students participate in activities that promote self-reflection, accountability, and collaboration that support the acquisition and demonstration of ethical leadership expertise reflecting professional nursing's characteristics and values. Students study the change process in health- related organizations by critically analyzing demographics, cultural influences, and current trends that affect practice, education, and research.
