This is a course for graduate students who want to learn business analytics and data science in finance. Students will learn how to collect raw data from various sources, including web-scraping techniques using Python or other programming languages. Once students have the data, they'll learn how to clean up and pre-process the data, such as filling in the missing values, converting categorical data into numerical data. Students will learn various statistical tools in descriptive and predictive analytics, including regressions and state- of-the-art machine learning techniques. Finally, students will learn how to interpret the results from data analyses and use them to make intelligent business decisions.
