UK Army ROTC Joint Field Training Exercises (FTX) – Spring 2012
The Wildcat Battalion partnered with University of Louisville and University of Dayton to conduct their annual Spring FTX at Camp Atterbury, Indiana. The purpose of a Joint FTX is to build positive relationships with other ROTC programs in the nation. Our Cadets have the opportunity to interact with Cadets from other schools who are also trying to improve and solidify skills their Cadre and MS4s have been teaching them all year. Training includes land navigation, practicing in the Air Assault obstacle course, rappelling down a higher wall than in the last semester, and practice in real time ambushes, attacks, clear and secure, radio 9-line Medevac and medical treatment, and reconnoiter missions.
