Learn about Appalachian culture, history, society, politics, geography, and economy through multidisciplinary and multimedia approaches. Appalachia will be considered in relation to other regions of the U.S., and the diversity within Appalachia will be explored. The format encourages student discussion of course material, experience with primary sources, and the opportunity to talk with the authors of course texts.
