Note:
"Information professionals across all types of libraries and other information organizations engage in formal and informal research endeavors. These may include assessing programs and services internally, writing grant applications to secure funding, collaborating with external consultants, and conducting and publishing original research. Advocacy efforts that convey the value of information organizations for their communities also require methodical collection, analysis, and presentation of data. This course focuses on research methods that support evidence-based practice, grant writing, assessment, and understanding published scholarship. It includes critical evaluation of current research in library and information science and the development of a research proposal."
