Prereq: Completion of third year of medical school.
This course is for the senior medical student who desires exposure to the practice of ophthalmology in a community setting. An emphasis will be placed on gaining knowledge of common diseases affecting the visual system. In addition to learning more about diagnosis, treatment and management of patients with ophthalmic disease, the student will also be exposed to the lifestyle of a community practitioner and observe the nature of relationships with other physicans as well as other health care professionals.
