  • The Zembrod Award is for students who will have junior status at the time of taking up the award. The award, up to $1250.00, is to be used towards study abroad in a Spanish-speaking country.

  • The History Department offers two types of scholarships; those that reward academic achievement and those that encourage and support professional development through travel, research, and summer internships.
  • History majors and minors receive department-awarded scholarships ranging from $100 to $10,000 each year.

  • The John R. Bell International Studies Scholarship supports International Studies Majors studying abroad. Selected applicants will be awarded up to: $1500 for a fall semester abroad, $1500 for a spring semester abroad, and $800 for a summer study abroad program.

  • The Jewish Studies program offers several scholarships and awards, including the Luckens International Prize for Best Graduate Student Essay in Jewish Thought and Culture, the Undergraduate and Graduate Research Award, the Zolondek Travel Grant, and the Jewish Heritage Fund for Excellence Scholarship.

  • The Department of Linguistics offers Teaching Assistantships to a number of admitted MALTT program students. Linguistics also has a small number of Research Assistantships available to select candidates.

  • Outstanding Psychology Major Award: Applicant must be a junior or senior Psychology Major currently enrolled at the UK/Lexington campus.
  • Mary Agnes Gordon Scholarship: Applicant must be a full-time junior or senior, female, Psychology Major currently enrolled at the UK/Lexington campus and resident of Kentucky who will return for the following academic year. The selection of the recipient will be based on GPA, involvement in activities related to psychology and evidence of financial need.
