The course is designed to provide relevant foundational knowledge in epidemiology and its application in pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences. Students will be introduced to the strengths and limitations of basic types of epidemiological study designs, the methods and issues of risk measurement , the concept of validity, and the effect and problems associated with confounding, and bias in epidemiological studies.
