A&S FOCUS is an intense, one week program designed specifically for incoming first-year students who plan to take WRD 110 and MA 109 or MA 110 or MA 112 during their freshman year. Some the students won't qualify to take the math the first semester but will qualify by the spring. The program provides preparation and experiences to help students be successful in their undergraduate studies.

The program runs from August 16 – 22, 2014, and provides daily instruction, meals and extracurricular activities for $300, plus 6 nights of on-campus housing for an additional $120.

Participation in the FOCUS program allows you to move in your dorm early, experience college-level coursework prior to the start of the semester, discover on-campus resources and activities, while developing relationships with fellow, first-year students.

Participants in programs such as this have achieved a significantly higher GPA than those who do not participate.
