Dean's Circle

What is the Dean’s Circle?

The Dean’s Circle is a group of alumni and friends who, with annual leadership giving, demonstrate extraordinary commitment to the University of Kentucky’s College of Arts and Sciences. Dean’s Circle donors help the College and its 19 departments and 7 interdisciplinary programs provide exceptional teaching, innovative research and impactful outreach and service. Because state support is a far lower percentage of our budget than it was in earlier decades, private support must ensure our excellence today and in the future. Dean’s Circle gifts help us recruit and retain top faculty members, support innovation, fuel research, and provide valuable experiences to students through high impact opportunities like education abroad, internships, and living learning programs.

You Are Invited

As a friend of the College of Arts and Sciences, you are invited to join the Dean’s Circle. Membership is extended to all who make annual gifts to the College of Arts and Sciences or its departments or programs. To qualify, you must make a contribution of $1,000 or more to the College in any calendar year (January 1 through December 31). Couples’ gifts are combined, and corporate matching gifts are included.

As a member of the Dean’s Circle, you will receive select communications, an invitation to the annual Dean’s Circle meeting and Hall of Fame ceremony and reception, and other special events held on campus or in regional locations.

Your membership will provide exclusive opportunities to connect with our dean, faculty members, and students. These special events will engage you in the excitement of Arts and Sciences, from literature and culture to cutting-edge scientific research happening in the lab and across the globe.

There has never been a more important time to invest in the College of Arts and Sciences. Your gift makes a difference for today’s students and ensures tomorrow’s excellence. Please join the Dean’s Circle now and help change lives.

Annual Meeting and Lunch with Students

Join us for a day celebrating Arts and Sciences at UK. Dean’s Circle members enjoy lunch with scholarship students; learn how the College is responding to current issues and trends in higher education; engage in conversation with top faculty, undergraduates, and graduate students; and learn about the research and scholarship taking place across the disciplines of the College.
