This course focuses on the role of the acute care nurse practitioner in assessing, diagnosing, and managing acute episodes in the chronically ill adult. Emphasis is placed on the use of research and theories from biological, behavioral, and advanced practice nursing to facilitate the comprehensive care of chronically ill patients and their families.
