This course focuses on specific knowledge and skills needed for delivering safe and effective tobacco dependence treatment in a variety of clinical settings. Students will learn about specific, evidence-based strategies for the systematic assessment of tobacco use as a basis for safe and effective treatment and treatment planning. Students will obtain the skills required for providing individual or group treatment, as well as treatment in a variety of care settings, such as in-person, telephonically and online. This course will aid students in their ability to tailor safe and effective treatment across various populations in addition to learning how to incorporate tobacco use treatment in various treatment settings.
