Application of thin foil electron transmission methods to the study of the defect structure in crystalline solids, theory of electron diffraction contrast phenomena, sample preparation, X-ray theory and methods applied to the study of deformation characteristics, order-disorder transformations, and crystal structure analysis. Lecture, two hours; laboratory, six hours.
