Prereq: CDS 836 - Diagnosis and Management of Orofacial Pain.
This elective course is designed to bridge the gap between didactic training in the diagnosis and management of orofacial pain and temporomandibular disorders and clinical exposure/skill development among fourth year dental students. The course will combine didactic, lab, and clinic methodology to integrate complex concepts in orofacial pain. Students will practice examination techniques, diagnostic tests, and explore therapeutic treatment alternatives, including brief behavioral interventions, that will prepare the future dentists to diagnose and manage simple orofacial pain cases in a general practice setting.
