Surfin Da Net

Congratulations! You get to witness my first ever blogging experience.

This is my second full week working here and I love it! I like everyone I work with; everyone is very down to earth computer nerd like myself. I have learned a lot since I have started working here and I always have something to do.

Working with video you always have to wait long periods of time for videos to compress or render, which means you have a lot of time to do other activities such as “surf da net”. I have compiled a list of great websites that I look at almost everyday.

Hautlook.com

This is a discount daily deals site that I love! You can get designer brands for 50-75% of the retail price. They send you emails everyday with the deals of the day. I know it sounds like every other daily deal site and I am a member of many, but this one is pretty awesome.

DirtyMexicanLemonade.com-

A music site that was developed by college kids. It is a great place to hear mashups, remixes, and new songs. If you like a song you can download it right from the site. They have all different types of genres of music.

DoNothingForTwoMinutes.com

This site is a good site to go to when you need a break. It relaxes you with the view of the ocean and ocean sounds. It tells you not to do anything for two minutes. If you touch the mouse or keyboard then it says you have failed at relaxing. Just Relax!

MerryCode.com

This site has jailbreak codes and good computer tips for every computer nerd.

LifeHacker.com

This is a great site for tips, tricks, and downloads for getting things done.

StumbleUpon.com

StumbleUpon helps you discover and share great websites. As you click Description: http://cdn.stumble-upon.com/images/stumble.pngStumble!, we deliver high-quality pages matched to your personal preferences. These pages have been explicitly recommended by your friends or one of over 15 million other websurfers with interests similar to you. Rating these sites you like (Description: http://cdn.stumble-upon.com/images/thumbup.gif) automatically shares them with like-minded people – and helps you discover great sites your friends recommend.

ApexVj.com

ApexVj visualizes music stream from SoundCloud or your personal mp3 folder with an ever growing number of effects. Apexvj can also be controlled by remote from a smartphone or it can even be left to it's own devices and run automated in "party" mode where visualizations change automatically in response to the music stream. I listen to music on this site while I am working. It has great music.

Hope you try out some of these sites!

Catch ya on da flip side! Peace!
