I commissioned as a Field Artillery Officer in 2010 from Minnesota State University in Mankato, Minnesota after transitioning from an enlisted infantryman through the Green to Gold program. As a paratrooper, I was stationed at both Fort Bragg, NC and Fort Richardson, AK. After commissioning, I attended FAOBC at Fort Sill, OK and was subsequently stationed at Camp Casey, Korea and later Fort Carson, CO, serving numerous positions as an Artillery lieutenant. Following FACCC, I was sent to Fort Campbell, KY and commanded Charlie Battery, 3-320^th Field Artillery. I have completed multiple tours in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Korea throughout the past 15 years and have attended more Army schools than I care to remember. I am pursuing a Master's Degree in English and am married with five children. I compete as a relatively competitive powerlifter and value fitness as much as any academic achievement.
