Harling Named Interim Dean of A&S

Phillip Harling, professor of history and former associate dean of the College of Arts & Sciences, has agreed to serve as interim dean of the college while a national search is conducted to fill the post vacated by the impending departure of Steven L. Hoch, who has been dean of the college since 2003. Hoch will serve as the new provost and executive vice president of Washington State University.
