A&S Alumni Receives Teacher of the Year Honors from the History Channel

A&S alumni Paul Newman (M.A. '93 - Ph.D '96) is the recipient of the History Channel's 2008 "Save Our History" Teach of the Year Award. Newman, who is a University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown history professor, worked with Northern Cambria (Pa.) High School students to produce an hour-long documentary on about Cambria County Vietnam War veterans. He will be recognized at a ceremony Friday, May 2 in Washington D.C.
