The Department of Anthropology is pleased to present a lecture by Susan J. Rasmussen as part of its annual Colloquium Series. Professor Rasmussen is a sociocultural anthropologist who has published widely on her work with the northern African Tuareg. Working in symbolic and medical anthropology and with an emphasis on gender, her talk will draw on her recent work on Tuareg conceptions of female fatness.

This colloquium is co-sponsored by the College of Arts & Sciences and the College of Public Health.
