The English Arts Conference presents, “Starving Arts.”

Even as the economy crumbles and the Universities budgets get cut, UK students find that art sustains at least their minds. Come to a series of panels and presentation featuring students reading their original works of poetry, creative writing, and non-fiction, a showing of the independent films made by the UK Film Club, a UK alumni panel tells us how to get your work published, a dance presentation by the UK Dance Ensemble, and some amazing signing performed by the Opera students. Refreshments provided.

“The Mathematics of Juggling” with Professor Richard Ehrenborg and Eric Clark, graduate student from the A&S Math department.

The Amazing Professor Ehrenborg will show how mathematics is used to study juggling patterns, explain the importance of learning foreign languages and reveal why you should finish your degree.  The finale will include a juggling demonstration with his fearless assistant, Eric Clark.

Pizza, t-shirts and a drawing for a free IPOD (must be present to win).
